Advanced Solar – Our Latest Offering

January 5, 2010 | Comments (0)

Rising energy costs, conservation, and reducing dependence on foreign oil – these are just a few key reasons why solar-powered hot water systems make sense.

It’s easier than ever to harness the sun’s energy in order to produce hot water for our homes and businesses. Our latest offering to our clients, Advanced Solar, utilizes a solar water heating system that gathers the sun’s heat with roof top solar panels, then transfers that heat to your hot water heater, thereby reducing your home’s energy load. Although solar water heaters cost more initially than conventional water heaters, the clean fuel they use to heat your water -sunshine- is free.

Water heating is the third-largest expense in the home (after air conditioning and major appliances) and accounts for 14% to 25% of a home’s operating costs. The more hot water you use, the greater the savings from a solar hot water heater. When you choose to invest in a solar hot water heating system you have real monthly savings and increased equity in your home. Also, all solar savings are a non-taxable income, so a dollar saved on your water heating expense is equivalent to $1.30 or more of your taxable income.

Solar doesn’t have to be expensive and high-tech.

Upgrading your windows, adding insulation and upgrading an existing hot water heater or heat pump are all excellent ideas, but by installing a solar hot water system you not only reduce your carbon footprint, you realize true savings on your monthly bills.
